Toshiba AT300SE Tablet Review @ t-break
When I recently reviewed the Toshiba 7 and 10 inch tablets, the AT270 and AT300 respectively, it was the 7-inch tablet that came out on top. The AT300’s screen felt lackluster for the price, and Ice Cream Sandwich OS felt like it slowed things down just for the sake of having Flash compatibility.Read more
With the AT300SE, Toshiba aims to provide a cheaper, slightly bulkier, but much faster alternative to the regular AT300 tablet. So the AT300SE comes with the same hardware as the regular AT300, carrying the Tegra 3 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM. The 10-inch IPS display panel also remains the same with a 1280 x 800 resolution, giving it a rather bland 149ppi density.
The AT300SE also comes with the same battery, giving it almost 9 hours of usage. Two things have changed significantly, though. The first is the rear camera, downgraded from the 5MP in the AT300 to just 3MP in the AT300SE, while the front facing drops 2MP to 1.2MP. However, there is a nice upgrade in the form of Android Jelly Bean, which helps giving the ageing processor a nice shot in the arm.

EVGA jumped that bandwagon as well as they recently have introduced a 1500 Watt (yes -- you read that right) power supply. EVGA took that 1500 Watt model as a template, a basis of some sort and took the very best out of it and implemented that base design into much smaller more affordable power supplies. Hence the NEX650 and NEX750 Gold certified power supplies are born.
The two new SKUs come with high-power output with GOLD certification and sleeved cables based product. The SuperNOVA NEX series are all about efficiency. The PSU as tested today carries a Gold certification. Bronze, Silver but really Gold or Platinum is what you want, but that segment in hardware, we agree, is expensive and thus comes at a price premium.

Swann OutbackCam Review – Waterproof Infrared Security @ Techgage
It’s not often we get to review cameras here at Techgage, but this particular one caught our attention. A self-contained, rugged, water-proof, infrared, long-life, external camera for keeping an eye on those distant locations, without having to worry about trailing cables and storage. With a “set it and forget it” attitude, the OutbackCam from Swann has a lot going for it, so let’s see what it’s capable of.Read more
The OutbackCam packs a fair bit of tech and features into a small package, suitable for hiding away from prying eyes. Under the water-proof exterior is a 5 megapixel camera which can take pictures at 2560×1920 and record video at 640×480, both of which are in color during the day and monochrome infrared during the night. The camera uses a Passive Infrared (PIR) detector for motion-detection to save power. All images are time-stamped, complete with lunar cycle. The camera has auto-exposure and white-balance. All media is stored on the supplied 4GB SD card, and the whole thing runs off of 4x AA batteries, lasting up to a month of unattended use. Quite the package.

There’s no better example of this than Lenovo’s new X1 Carbon which is not only incredibly thin but also boasts one of the most rigid, durable chassis on the market.Read more
Unlike other Ultrabooks we have reviewed in the past, with a starting price of over $1,200, the X1 Carbon is considered a “premium” product. With that being said, Lenovo is targeting professionals who want the ultimate in portability but aren’t willing to push aside any other aspects of business computing. Dell tried this with the short-lived, budget friendly but excellent Vostro V131. Its back-to-basics approach made a perfect fit for students and everyday consumers as well. Granted, Lenovo’s entry may be too expensive for anyone on a shoestring credit card limit but it should go above and beyond the expectations for standard mass market products.

Corsair has been on the forefront of providing cooling solutions for the enthusiast with their Hydro series solutions such as the new Corsair H60 High performance Liquid cooling solution that started the wave of self-contained water cooling solutions from a variety of manufacturers.Read more
Over this time Corsair have worked with Asetek and Coolit to deliver not only the first Hydro series self contained liquid cooling solutions, but to improve the designs when and where possible. Here at Overclockersclub we have looked at a good selection of the Corsair Hydro series product stack, including the Corsair Hydro Series H60, H80, and the Corsair Hydro Series H100, which has just seen an upgrade to the H100i. With each generational change the systems have offered improvements to the cooling performance delivered. Examples would be the switch from Asetek to Coolit after the H50 and H70 were delivered that brought along a new pump head/cooling plate design, with the ability to monitor the pump assembly with Corsair's own Link technology.

We have looked at LaCie's 5big offering before in late 2010. In that product, the only LaCie signature was the industrial design and choice of hardware components of the NAS. The performance figures were left to Windows Storage Server 2008 R2. The time has now come for LaCie to move forward with their own custom NAS OS based on Debian Linux for their 5-bay configuration. The 2big NAS offering had impressed us with its performance in a 2-bay configuration for SOHO and SMB applications involving a few users.
