During the last weeks, we analyzed a new VIA-bug which causes a performance loss of up to 60%. This new bug seems to be some kind of a compatibility problem between the GeForce3 and the VIA chipsets / BIOS. To cause the bug, a specific hardware- and software combination is necessary.

In addition, Shuttle/Spacewalker and the print magazine PC Games Hardware validated the existence of the bug.
