Thanks to Uboofer for informing me that Visioneer has moved back the date to get their w2k drivers disk. Their website states:

Windows 2000 support for Visioneer scanners

We are reviewing all of our scanners to determine the feasibility of providing support in the Windows 2000 environment.

Due to extensive testing we missed our former date of May 29th 2000. Please bear with us.

Visioneer will make an upgrade CD, including upgraded application and driver, available to those who wish to operate these scanners in the Windows 2000 environment. Both the upgraded application and the new driver are required to operate with Windows 2000.

This CD will be available on or before July 1st 2000. A nominal shipping and handling charge, of $9.95, will be assessed for each CD.

Support for the following scanners will be available on this date:

OneTouch 8600 USB/EPP
OneTouch 8100 USB/EPP
OneTouch 7600 EPP ONLY
Strobe Pro USB ONLY
6400 EPP ONLY

Please monitor our website for information on obtaining this CD.

All new Visioneer products, shipped after July 1st 2000, will have all of the necessary software required for Windows 2000 support.

Visioneer scanners, not listed, are still under evaluation for Windows 2000 upgrades. The results of this evaluation will be posted here in the near future.
