Aside from featuring a PCI rather than PCI Express interface, this board from Visiontek also deviates with regard to clock speeds. While your average Radeon X1300 board comes with both core and memory clocks of 400MHz, we see these numbers boosted substantially by Visiontek. Taking a look at the board, we can see that (with a change of back plate) it is also suitable for systems that require half-height expansion boards, which may come in handy for some, especially considering that these are often the kind of systems left bereft of AGP or PCI Express slots. Aside from that, the cooler is a typical, functional affair seen on many a Radeon X1300 board since the SKUs launch last year. Despite the PCI interface delivering less power than either AGP or PCI Express 16x, no external power is required thankfully.
