WD My Passport Ultra 1TB Portable Hard Drive Review @ Techgage

When we took a look at WD’s My Passport last summer, we were left impressed for a couple of reasons. For starters, it performed well, and who wouldn’t love 2TB in such a small form-factor? Then there was the robust (but clunky) backup software, a durable, good-looking design, and for those who want to take advantage of it, hardware encryption.

This summer, WD followed-up to that series with “Ultra”, which overall looks pretty similar but does have a couple of notable differences. At the forefront, cloud backups are here, and as long as Dropbox is your solution of choice, WD has got you covered. Second, the Pro version of SmartWare is included, allowing you to backup with more than just WD drives. It might be a small touch, but an included soft pouch rounds out the deal, and overall, it’s a good addition.

Corsair Vengeance K70 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review @ KitGuru

The K70 is the third attempt by Corsair at making mechanical keyboards, and I think that they have finally nailed it this time. Their initial release featured a mix of mechanical keys and rubber dome keys that many users didn't approve of. Their second release featured backlit keys and macro keys but still had a mix of mechanical and rubber dome keys. Now we meet in the middle we have a full set of illuminated mechanical keys with per-key illumination, and there is a choice between red, blue and brown Cherry MX switches to boot. Available in Black/Red or Silver/Blue color combinations, the Vengeance K70 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard is arguably one of the best looking mechanical keyboards available today. In this article Benchmark Reviews will be testing the Black/Red model CH-9000011-UK variant with Cherry MX Red switches, in a variety of scenarios including gaming and general productivity applications.

While Panasonic has been winning plaudits galore for its top-end plasma TVs this year, it's not had quite such a smooth ride with its LCD televisions. The main reason for this has been that it has struggled to keep pace with some rival LCD brands when it comes to producing dark scenes convincingly.It could just be, though, that the 55-inch Panasonic TX-L55WT65 has what it takes to overcome this problem. As the flagship model in Panasonic's 2013 LCD range, it boasts the brand's premium LCD engine, complete with a 16-zone local dimming system driving its edge-mounted LED lighting array. It's unusual for an edge LED set to deliver local dimming over so many zones, so you've got to hope that this ability to control the screen's light levels to such a localised degree will lead to a significant contrast boost.
