Hardware Canucks posted a review of the new Seagate Momentus XT 500GB 2.5" Hybrid Hard Drive

With SSDs making some minor inroads into the market hard drives used to have sole proprietorship over, manufacturers like Seagate needed something new to spice things up. Enter a new generation of hybrid drives which combine the capacity of a traditional hard drive with the high speed NAND of an SSD. The Momentus XT is one of the first which is available in a small form factor for notebooks, set top boxes and HTPCs.

Ikonik Optimus 1200 Review
OCC has published a review on the Ikonik Optimus 1200

The case also has built-in watercooling support through tube holes and even allows you to swap heatsinks or waterblock brackets without the need to remove the motherboard. Sure, it would have been nice if the case included a few more things with it (like fans) but it is nice to know there are other options when it comes to a side panel on this case. Not really sure if a side panel can be purchased separately like some other manufactures do offer. However, I'm sure the case is likely sold with different options depending on where you get it.

NZXT Sentry LXE Fan Controller Review
PureOverclock has published a review of the NZXT Sentry LXE fan controller.

We are looking at one of NZXT's fan controllers, the Sentry LXE. The LXE is unique because it isn't mounted in your chassis like most other fan controllers. The LXE sits on your desktop for ease of access as well as displaying a considerable amount of information. That's definitely different from what we normally see, so let's jump in and see what the LXE can offer us in terms of functionality and ease of control.

Today for review I’ve got two cards from Sparkle, they’re both the GT240 but one has 512mb of ram while the other has 1024mb of ram. So this review is a review yes, but it’s also a comparison of what 512mb is worth when compared to 1024mb of ram on a video card. I was curious myself, and ultimately surprised by what I found out.

ASUS Sabertooth P67 Motherboard Review
Vortez posted ASUS Sabertooth P67 Motherboard Review

Sandy Bridge is now upon us and Intel has already had overwhelming success with this new platform since its release just last week. Consumers can finally get their hands on the new processors and new motherboards.

Arriving a little later than the plethora of Sandy Bridge boards now available to the consumer is the ASUS Sabertooth P67. The Sabertooth is taken from ASUS' new TUF (The Ultimate Force) which is specifically designed for the professional that is looking for a robust and fearless design. It may have some cut-down features that you would typically find on a RoG motherboard but it still has a rich feature-set that is going to attract a lot of attention. The design is like no other, and its going to be divide people into the 'love it, or hate it' camps... the term used so often today "its like marmite you either love it or hate it" springs to mind.

ZOTAC GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition 1536 MB Review
techPowerUp posted a review on the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition 1536 MB graphics card

ZOTAC's GeForce GTX 580 AMP! Edition comes at a massive core clock of 815 MHz. During our testing we also noticed that the card could overclock consistently higher than other reference designs, which seems to be thanks to a special binning process in the ZOTAC factory.

Noctua NH-C14 CPU Cooler Review
Legit Reviews posted a review on the Noctua NH-C14 CPU Cooler

Noctua is known for their near silent fans, and the high build quality. The new NH-C14 we are looking at today is a top down cooler with twin 140mm NF-P14 fans and supports all of todays popular CPU sockets. Join us as we put the new NH-C14 on our Intel Core i7-930 processor test system at both stock and overclocked speeds!

The NH-C14 is still a C shape top-down style cooler, but there are a few updates. A new fin profile, its taller, and now sports twin 140mm fans. The NH-C14 has nickel plated copper base, 6 copper heat pipes, and aluminum fins. With the NH-C14 having two fans the upper or lower fan can be removed to create high and low clearance configurations. In low clearance with the top fan removed the cooler is only 105mm tall. With lower fan removed for the high clearance mode there is 65mm of clearance to the motherboard. This is good for those running RAM with tall heatspreaders like Kingston HyperX T1...

There comes a time in every man’s life when he has to upgrade to a quality mouse. AMD Radeon HD 6870 and 6850 Overclocked Round-up
HotHardware.com posted AMD Radeon HD 6870 and 6850 Overclocked Round-up

As enthusiasts, one of the things we can always count on is the never-ending progression of computer hardware. Year after year, video cards get faster, processors offer more cores and / or performance, and motherboards provide additional features. That top of the line, $500 GPU you bought a few years ago can't touch the performance of a $200 graphics card available today. Yes, it's tough to keep up with the rapid pace of technology. But by shopping smarter, you minimize the chance of feeling buyer's remorse a few months down the road.

These factory overclocked Radeon HD 6800 series graphics cards from PowerColor and HIS have made their way into our testing lab, and it's time once again for another round up...

MSI GeForce GTX 580 1536 MB Video Cards in SLI
TweakTown takes a look at MSI GeForce GTX 580 1536 MB Video Cards in SLI

I was always a bit bummed that I never got to test the GTX 480 in SLI. We only ever had one reference card come through our doors and after that we saw MSI, Galaxy and GIGABYTE release models that were all based on their own design, making it pretty much impossible to SLI them. The main reason I wanted to test them, though, was because we knew it was going to be the fastest dual card setup we would've tested in our testbed. Crossfire wasn't scaling as strong as it is now with the HD 6000 series and the GTX 480 had a nice little jump on the HD 5870.

Today is a second chance for us to look at the top end NVIDIA offering in SLI. We've got an MSI and reference GTX 580 and together we should end up with a load of power. We heard issues of 100c cores with GTX 480s and we experienced that kind of temperature with the GTX 470. The heat's a lot more attractive on the GTX 580, though, and so is power draw and noise. Since we've already looked at the MSI GTX 580 by itself, we'll just get straight into our testbed setup to see what's going on before checking out the almighty numbers.

Nokia E5 (Unlocked) Review
TechReviewSource.com posted a review on the Nokia E5 cellphone

Unlocked smartphones tend to cost hundreds of dollars, but the Nokia E5 is a welcome exception. It's essentially a lower cost clone of the solid Nokia E72. That makes it a good option for anyone needing an inexpensive cell phone that accepts AT&T, T-Mobile, and prepaid SIM cards here, and prepaid cards when traveling overseas. That said, it's nowhere near as advanced as today's more sophisticated Android and iPhone OS devices.

Nokia N8: Something Completely Different
InsideHW.com has reviewed Nokia N8 smartphone

A strong marketing campaign can make any product sell well, iPhone being the best example thereof. Once it’s started to lose ground, Nokia has opted for this trick as well - it was very clear already a few months before the presentation of 5800XM, the phone that was supposed to present the new S60v5 platform, but with an unlucky mutant of an OS. The general impression was that Nokia had been forced into the touchscreen smartphone arena screaming and wiggling. 5800XM was touted as “the Apple-eater”, although it was factually quite a bit behind the competition, both software- and hardware-wise…
