OCZ Platinum XTE PC3-16000 4GB Dual Channel Kit Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the OCZ Platinum XTE PC3-16000 4GB Dual Channel Kit

With all the excitement surrounding CES 2011 and new releases such as Intel's second generation Core chips like the i5-2500K that Shawn just reviewed, it can be easy to overlook updated revisions of existing products. Towards the end of November, OCZ announced revamped editions of their popular Blade, Platinum and Gold series memory. However between the holidays and upcoming CES this news may have slipped under the radar. Plus it's only been more recently that these versions have even started to show up at online retailers.

SilverStone Sugo SG07 Mini-ITX Case Review
eTeknix.com posted SilverStone Sugo SG07 Mini-ITX Case Review

Silverstone’s range of small form factor cases began in 2005 when we saw the start of the Sugo series, with the original SG01 Micro-ATX case and as time passed, we saw the likes of the SG05 in 2009 using the Mini-ITX form factor and being the smallest case in the Sugo series. This range of cases gave the SG07 the blueprints for an improved product design, increased performance and better styling whilst offering functionality and enough space to work with, whilst keeping the overall product small enough for its market.
Has the SG07 kept its original influence from the Sugo series and invested an improved design, increased features and better performance or is it just a lot of hype?

Airen RedWings and Aimaxx eNVicooler Fan Roundup
Kitguru posted an Airen RedWings and Aimaxx eNVicooler Fan Roundup

A couple of weeks ago a company that we hadn’t heard much about before asked if we would like to look at some of their fans. So imagine our surprise when a huge box, about the size you would expect for a PC case, arrived from said company.

We opened it up to see one of the largest collection of case fans and fan accessories we’ve ever seen inside.

Today we are going to look at a variety of fans and fan accessories from Airen and Aimaxx and evaluate which are best suited to different purposes. They have sent us everything from temperature controlled fans to PWM controllers which can be used with standard fans.

Zalman ZM-MH200 U3 Dual HDD Dock Review
techPowerUp posted a review on the Zalman ZM-MH200 U3 Dual HDD Dock

There are plenty of docking stations out there. You can find them for one drive or for two, with card readers or USB ports. The Zalman MH200 U3 goes another direction: RAID. We push the unit to its limit to see if such a feature in a dual hard drive dock makes sense or makes us wonder why.

MUKii TransImp TIP-230U3-BK USB 3.0 Drive Enclosure Review
Bigbruin.com posted a review on the MUKii TransImp TIP-230U3-BK USB 3.0 Drive Enclosure

The MUKii TransImp TIP-230U3-BK USB 3.0 drive enclosure is easy to use and simplifies the task of turning any 2.5" SATA drive into a portable device. As with other USB 3.0 devices, it is fully backwards compatible to USB 2.0; so even if you have this enclosure before you have USB 3.0 in your computer, it will still function just fine with your current USB 2.0 connections.

However, this does mean that we end up with some rather interesting items to review; like today.

Here we have a Brenthaven Elite Sleeve, a 15" laptop case, cover, thing. Let's check it out; I guess.

Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 Motherboard Review
Hi Tech Legion posted a review on the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4 Motherboard

The new Intel P67 chipset lies at the heart of the Gigabyte GA-P67A-UD4, and Gigabyte has utilized it to great advantage with full support for Intel's SandyBridge Processors. While the GA-P67A-UD4 sits in the middle of Gigabyte's P67 lineup, there is no shortage of innovation and design. As part of the Ultra Durable 3 series, the GA-P67A-UD4 uses 50,000 hour solid capacitors and a 2oz copper circuit board used in conjunction with 12 phase power design for cooler board temperatures and longer life. Gigabyte's 333 design incorporates USB 3.0, 6Gbs SATA 3 and 3X typical USB power, now adding Turbo XHD to its SATA 3.0 options. Turbo XHD offers automatic setup for RAID 0, offering 4X the speed of a conventional SATA 2.0 HDD. The 3X USB power incorporated in the GA-P67A-UD4 offers 1500mA to USB 2.0 ports and 2700mA to USB 3.0 ports. This means faster charging for peripherals (such as cell phones and mp3 players) and many times relieves the need for external power or USB Y-connectors for higher powered USB devices. Power to the USB ports is always present on the GA-P67A-UD4 regardless of the computers boot state making USB charging always readily available.

Cooler Master HAF 912 Review
Neoseeker posted a review on the Cooler Master HAF 912

Looking for a mid-tower case with the expansion options of a full tower offering? Cooler Master may have the answer with their HAF 912 case, sporting room for up to ten 3.5" drives thanks to a clever drive cage system. Is it clever enough to earn our recommendation? Find out in our latest case review!

The 912 HAF is a sturdy and rugged mid-tower case that is full of hard angles and bold corners, giving this case quite the military appearance in that 'no-nonsense', 'I can eat a tank round' manner. Don't let that fool you however, as this case has quite a number of features that I would have only expected in a more expensive full-tower case.

Kingston SSDNow V+180 64GB SSD Review
Techspot posted a review on the Kingston SSDNow V+180 64GB SSD

Last September we published a budget SSD round-up featuring eight drives priced at or below $150. Kingston's SSDNow V Series was among the models tested, and at just $125 ($1.95 per gigabyte) the 64GB version was an exceptional value. Utilizing Toshiba's TC58NCF618GBT controller, the drive provided surprisingly impressive performance.

Kingston has since expanded their SSD range by adding the SSDNow V100 and SSDNow V+100 Series to the mix. They also released a portable 1.8" line called SSDNow V+180 designed for ultra-mobile devices, such as ultra-thin notebooks, netbooks and tablet PCs. Since the SSDNow V+180 Series is a spin-off of the original SSDNow V+ Series, it features the same Toshiba T6UG1XBG controller. As a result, the same sequential read/write throughput of 230MB/s and 180MB/s still applies, and it comes in the same 64GB, 128GB or 256GB capacities.

Solid state drives supporting the 1.8" form factor are nothing new and, in fact, many products we've tested have 1.8" alternatives. We don't consider the 1.8" OCZ Vertex 2 a viable option with its asking price of $240 for 60GB, but at around $25 cheaper than the 64GB SSDNow V+180 Series the Onyx certainly is. We will be keeping a close eye on this match up in our review, so read on to see how Kingston stacks up against the competition.

Sapphire Pure Black X58 Motherboard Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Sapphire Pure Black X58 Motherboard

Sapphire has been in the game for a long time. The company is best known not only for making video cards, but also for making some of the best on the market when AMD (previously ATI) are on top of their game. Sapphire getting into motherboards isn't really anything new, as we've seen them offer AMD ones for a while with the Pure line. The bottom line is, though, that AMD haven't been a dominant force in the CPU market for a long time and the Sapphire line of motherboards pretty much slipped under the radar.

Evolving, we see Sapphire offer us not only a performance motherboard, but an Intel one based on the high end X58 chipset. Companies like GIGABYTE and ASUS can offer us both a strong video card and motherboard line-up; but can Sapphire offer us the same?

Silverstone ML03 HTPC Case & ST40F-ES PSU Review
DreamWare Computers posted a review on the Silverstone ML03 HTPC Case & ST40F-ES PSU

The ML03, while keeping the same great compact size as it's two siblings, has managed to find room for a standard ATX power supply, enough slots for a mATX motherboard, an extra full-size slot for accessories, and mounts for four 80mm fans! Support for SB3.0 makes it next generation ready, and of course sleek looks are something I've come to expect from any Silverstone case. A small case like this also needs an ATX power supply that will fit nicely too. Along with the ML03, I'll also be checking out the ST40F-P entry level 400W power supply from Silverstone.

Hi Tech Legion posted a review on the In Win Dragon Rider Full Tower Case

The In Win Dragon Rider answers every enthusiasts' needs. The Dragon Rider is built as a large full tower. This form factor allows a tremendous amount of room within. There is enough space to fit 5 5.25" and 6 3.5" drives. The Dragon rider comes with a total of 4 120mm fans and a giant 220mm side panel fan. There is enough expandability to fit eleven 120mm fans, if needed. The top of the Dragon Rider has enough room to house a 240mm water cooling radiator. An excellent special feature is a CPU cooling fan behind the motherboard tray. Like so many other In Win cases, all drive bays and expansion slots are tool free.

Galaxis Atlus Mid-Tower Case Review
OCIA.net has posted their review of the Galaxis Atlus Mid-Tower Case

The Atlus case by Galaxis is a mid-tower offering supporting standard ATX mainboards, four external 5.25" drive bays and one external 3.5" bay. It has a large side intake fan, blue LED lighting and a top control panel. We have seen a variety of mid-tower offerings lately and the feature set from the outside looks typical, though with the USB and audio ports on the top I would expect more of a floor placement. Follow along as we take a closer look. [/quote6

Zowie Celeritas Review Mechanical Keyboard Review
XSReviews have reviewed the Zowie Celeritas mechanical switch gaming keyboard.

As the gaming industry has evolved, peripherals have been developed alongside it. Interestingly, as time has gone on there's been a bit of seperation between gamers and the hardware that they have available to them. While there are keyboards and mice out there that are festooned with lights, macro keys and outlandish styling, there's another branch that ephasises something different.

This second way of doing things is a little more streamlined. It focuses on speed, it's serious and often expensive. More and more pro-gamers are now heading in this direction and the product we're looking at today is no different. Lauded by some gamers that most people will never have heard of, the Zowie Celeritas comes with mechanical switches, a sleek black paint job and lots of internal cleverness to have you gaming at your best. Let's see how it compares to the boards we've reviewed in the past.

AMD Radeon HD 6870 CrossFireX: It's Easier in a Duet
InsideHW.com has reviewed AMD Radeon HD 6870 CrossFireX graphics cards.

Computers with two or more graphics card are an interesting concept, one that has always intrigued enthusiasts. Ever since Voodoo 2, one of the most popular PCI 3D accelerators of all time, a dual graphics subsystem has been something that everyone is dreaming of. Still, that impulse aside, once you’d sit down and carefully consider all the aspects of buying two graphics cards, you’d probably be put off indefinitely. Why? Because buying two graphics cards definitely isn’t something that could be considered a clever investment. How come? Well, simply put, if you have that kind of money, you’ll simply buy yourself the fastest graphics card in the current generation. If such a card is unfit for the intended purposes for whatever reason, you may add another one. If you have a capable motherboard and a strong enough PSU, that is. For any other card, buying two new ones simultaneously is a very dubious decision...

Maingear 13.3" Clutch 13 Ultraportable Notebook Review
HotHardware.com posted a review on the Maingear 13.3" Clutch 13 Ultraportable Notebook

Maingear is a custom PC builder that's been making some noise lately, and for good reason. The competition is intense in this space, with a number of companies (CyberPower, Maingear, Falcon Northwest, Digital Storm, Origin, etc.) elbowing each other in order to grab the hard-earned dollars of those in need of a new machine. Maingear, like the others mentioned here, has done an excellent job staying on the cutting edge, and making sure that their lineup is full of new components just as soon as they hit the market.

Back in October, Maingear revealed two notebooks in a new series: Clutch. Today, we're taking a closer look at the smaller of the two, the 13.3" Clutch 13...

Intel D525MW Mini-ITX Motherboard Review
MissingRemote posted a review on the Intel D525MW Mini-ITX Motherboard

In the past few years, Intel has really taken some steps in dominating the low power, small form factor board market. Today we have the Intel D525MW mini-ITX motherboard in our labs for review. The board is small, low powered and does not have a single fan on it. Don't confuse this for a Clarkdale or Sandy Bridge system however, the D525MW is a dual-core Atom board so it's not as much designed for playback of HD content as it is for a less visible activity - like serving that content to a HTPC or streamer. Let's see if this board can compete in a cramped (no pun intended) SFF market and be a viable solution for your home server or NAS needs.

Seasonic X-760 760W Power Supply
TweakTown posted a review on the Seasonic X-760 760W Power Supply

Seasonic has been around almost longer than anyone else in the PC power supply market. Ask anyone who is known for quiet and efficient power supplies and Seasonic will come up more often than not. Seasonic launched the X-Series power supplies back in 2009 and they were well received amongst enthusiasts for the exceptional quality and efficiency. Unfortunately they were only available in 650W and 750W models at the time.

Fast forward to mid 2010 and Seasonic announced a revamp of the X-series. This also came with a much expanded lineup, offering the X-series in various iterations from 400W to 1200W. This new lineup provided power supply solutions for those needing more or less power than previously offered. Today we are taking a look at their X-760 power supply.

The State of Intel Desktop Motherboards
Benchmark Reviews takes a look at the State of Intel Desktop Motherboards

The view from the top is very nice, but the price of admission is an unpleasant reminder of what it takes to lead an industry. Intel (NASDAQ: INTC), more formally known as Integrated Electronics Corporation, is the world leader in computing innovation. Intel designs and builds the essential technologies that serve as the foundation for the entire planet's computing devices. With very few serious competitors in the microprocessor segment, Intel enjoys a dominant lead over an entire industry. Strangely enough, the sentiment runs opposite when you analyze their motherboard segment...
