G.SKILL Ripjaws F3 8GB CL7 1600mhz Memory Kit Review
Kitguru posted a review on the G.SKILL Ripjaws F3 8GB CL7 1600mhz Memory Kit

Performance memory used to be a luxury often associated with the wealthier enthusiast user base. This year however, you are now able to buy extremely fast memory kits without causing too much damage to your bank account.

Today KitGuru is looking at the new G.Skill Ripjaws F3 8GB memory kit (F3-12800CL7D-8GBRH 2x4GB) which is specifically designed for Core i5/i7 systems, running at 1600mhz with tight CL7 latencies. If you want a high level of futureproofing then an 8GB kit is certainly a step in the right direction.

Corsair Vengeance Series PC3-12800 12GB Kit Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Corsair Vengeance Series PC3-12800 12GB Kit

While we see a fair bit of memory from Corsair, something we haven't seen in a while is a new series from the company with most kits being part of the high end Dominator line-up. Recently we checked out a new addition to the XMS line, but today we're checking out a kit from the newly launched Vengeance series.

While the Vengeance series is designed with overclockers in mind, they say the added bonus of a lower price tag leaves room in your system build budget for other items. In the technical department, though, the key point to the series is the lower voltage requirement. While most kits carry a need for 1.65v, the Vengeance line up which currently consists of seven kits requires only 1.5v.

Thermaltake Element Q Mini-ITX Chassis w/ 220W Power Supply
TweakTown posted a review on the Thermaltake Element Q Mini-ITX Chassis w/ 220W Power Supply

If you are even slightly computer savvy and have been shopping for anything PC related, I'm sure you have run across the name Thermaltake in your travels. Everything from power supplies, chassis', and cooling has been handled for years by them, and they did quite well making a name for themselves. A while back we did get the opportunity to look at a couple of the mid and full tower chassis' in the Element series designed for gamers and having cooling and wire management being of utmost importance.

Today the Element series is taking a turn, or a reduction to be more precise. The chassis we are about to look at is quite Spartan compared to its much larger brethren, as this chassis isn't exactly directed at gaming as the others were. This time the chassis gets dropped to about the height of your favorite 12 oz. beverage, and is designed to go in a HTPC environment or a low power web surfing and email machine if you don't want to include this to your home theater.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Heatsink Review
FrostyTech posted Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 Heatsink Review

Rated for heat loads of up to 200W according to the manufacturer, the Arctic Cooling Freezer 13 is a relatively compact sub-130mm tall heatsink. It's 92mm fan utilizes fluid dynamic bearings and a "low noise impeller" design, so once again Arctic Cooling is focusing on quiet... quiet... quiet... The Freezer 13 mostly delivers on the noise front.

Thermaltake BlacX Duet HDD Docking Station Review
TweakTown posted a review on the Thermaltake BlacX Duet HDD Docking Station

Over the last couple months we took on the mission of finding the perfect HDD desktop docking station. The first two products we looked at were low cost units that were only limited by the amount of bandwidth our motherboard was able to provide. After that we moved on to the Thermaltake BlacX 5G, another USB 3.0 docking station that included some great accessories, an extra long cable that made moving our test system from under the desk less painful and was also able to deliver amazing performance. Now that we've seen the best USB 3.0 has to offer, a new docking station has taken over our test bench. The Thermaltake BlacX Duet forgoes USB 3.0 entirely and sticks to a tried and true eSATA / USB 2.0 combination, but that's not what the duo in Duet is about.

Using eSATA's port replicator feature, Thermaltake managed to add another HDD dock to their standard USB 2.0 / eSATA docking station. This allows users to quickly add two raw hard drives to their system without cracking open the system's side panel. If you are a user who would like to swap one drive in and out of the system with ease, then most likely you have more than one drive to swap around. The best thing about the Duet, though, is that it still offers enough bandwidth to run the fastest SATA platter drives at full speed, just like USB 3.0 does.

Veebeam HD Wireless Stream to your TV Review
MissingRemote.com takes a look at the Veebeam HD Wireless Stream to your TV

In the past year, we’ve seen a number of different wireless streaming devices intended to help bridge the gap between the distance between users and the television. Unlike recent products like the Boxee Box and GoogleTV, which are intended to connect directly to your television full-time, wireless USB streaming devices such as the Veebeam HD try a different route opting to leverage your existing computer from anywhere in the room to stream content to the big screen. This is a great product in theory but can it mesh with how users currently use and expect their home theater PCs to behave?

ThinkComputers.org posted a review on the Zotac GeForce GTX 580 1536MB Video Card

Just about a month ago NVIDIA announced the new Fermi GF110 GPU and the GeForce GTX 580 video card. This will be NVIDIA’s new flagship card replacing the older GTX 480. The GF100 GPU was never what NVIDIA meant it to be and they went back and revised it a little bit for this new line of cards. This means they were able to achieve higher clock speeds and all 512 CUDA cores are enabled. Today we will be looking at a reference model from Zotac, the ZT-50101-10P. SteelSeries 6Gv2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Review
Benchmark Reviews checked out the SteelSeries 6Gv2 Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Benchmark Reviews has tested all sorts of gaming peripherals in the past, today we are taking an in depth look at the SteelSeries 6Gv2 mechanical Gaming Keyboard. The 6Gv2 is the little brother of the 7G and does away with some of the unneccesary features of an already basic gaming keyboard and for a good reason too, the 7G is a little on the expensive side. The 6Gv2 does away with the USB hub, the audio ports and the wrist rest. The price is still a little high at $99.99 but it is certainly better than the price of the 7G, essentially the 6Gv2 is a stripped down version so lets see if it's worth your hard earned cash.

OCIA.net has posted their review of the ioSafe SoloPRO 1TB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive

IoSafe has targeted those home and small business users who need a sizable amount of backup space, and can't afford to lose their data to disasters such as fire or flood. Last year Shawn torture-tested their Solo 500GB USB 2.0 product which passed with flying colors. The only complaint he had was the relatively slow USB 2.0 access speeds. For this year IoSafe releases their SoloPRO version offering the same robust fire and flood protection, with higher capacities and new USB 3.0 interface.

Quick Review: HIS HD 5450 Silence 1GB PCIe x1 Eyefinity Video Card
TweakTown posted a review on the HIS HD 5450 Silence 1GB PCIe x1 Eyefinity Video Card

With the release of the HD 6000 series you can be forgiven for wondering why we're testing not only a HD 5000 series card, but a low end HD 5450. Well, the reason we're doing it is because HIS are bring us something a little different to the table this time around.

While a PCI-E x1 card is something a little different, it's not overly special for a lot of people. What this card offers, though, is the inclusion of Eyefinity support thanks to the inclusion of the DisplayPort connector.

Silverstone PP05 Strider Short Cable Kit Review
DreamWare Computers posted a review on the Silverstone PP05 Strider Short Cable Kit

Since the beginning, the well-known Silverstone Strider and Strider Plus series' of power supplies have both had 100% modular cable designs (which even for modular power supplies, is unusual). The reason they went for this design is because of the PP05 short-cable kit. The PP05 kit has cables to cover the most commonly used connections in smaller case setups, just the cables have also been shortened dramatically. In small cases, this is a blessing and will leave you with more open space for airflow and components. Even in mid-tower desktop cases, this kit can also do a lot to clean up some cable clutter and leave you with a tidier, and more airflow friendly, case layout.

Noctua NH-C14 Lower Noise Heatsink Review
FrostyTech posted Noctua NH-C14 Lower Noise Heatsink Review

The Noctua NH-C14 is a big heatsink for sure, but remarkably by orienting the fans and aluminum fin stack in a top-down direction, Noctua keep the heatsinks' height to just 130mm. That's a far cry more compact than your typical 160mm tall tower heatsink, but that hasn't made the NH-C14 into a slouch. Where Frostytech's Intel LGA775/1156 thermal test platform is concerned, the Noctua NH-C14 heatsink leads the Top 5 Heatsinks Chart. The competition is a little stiffer on the AMD front with the NH-C14 trailing the front runner by about 2.2°C.[/quote6

ASUS Xonar Essence STX PCI-E Sound Card Review
Benchmark Reviews has posted a review on the ASUS Xonar Essence STX PCI-E Sound Card

People spend hundreds on their CPUs, GPUs, motherboards, storage and memory, but dedicated sound is soft considered an unnecessary expense. Why pay for a card when your motherboard has a Realtek chipset? ASUS refuses to believe that onboard sound is enough. In our possession is their flagship audiophile audio card, the Essence STX, prepped for rigorous testing here at Benchmark Reviews. They claim "ultra-high fidelity" sound, and a remarkable 124dB signal-to-noise ratio on the front output. Will the onboard solution take a thrashing by this menacing card, or are enthusiasts correct in sticking with whatever their motherboard supplies?

Arctic Cooling Freezer 11LP Heatsink Review
FrostyTech posted a review on the Arctic Cooling Freezer 11LP Heatsink

Arctic Cooling's Freezer 11 LP is a light weight Intel socket 775/1156 heatsink made specifically for low profile and book-sized PC systems of at least 70mm thickness. The heatsink itself stands just 53mm tall, weighs 255 grams and operates very quietly. Although it's 92mm 1200-2000RPM PWM fan is small by normal standards, it is sufficient for the new generation of 95W Intel processors when system size restricts choice to only low profile CPU coolers.
