The Pentium 4 is zigzagging even closer to the top of our charts and at $569, the Pentium 4 1.5GHz becomes a realistic option for those who crave the latest and greatest. Unfortunately, many of the retail packages are no longer including RDRAM, so make sure you budget RIMMS in your new system. AMD´s high-end Athlon processors slip down the price scale even further, cementing them as great bargains. Be on the lookout for 266MHz Thunderbirds, as vendors should already be stocking them!
