The Register reports that Mozilla has confirmed a Firefox version for Windows 10

The move, which has seemingly been sparked by the new all singing, all dancing Edge browser which ships with Windows 10, has forced Firefox's hand.

Firefox is favoured by many but has seen its share of the market drop considerably in the past few years, mostly thanks to the rising popularity of Chrome, and a further attack from Microsoft, which we already know has some game-changing features that obliged Mozilla to rethink its own position.

Very little is known about the new browser, but alongside iOS Firefox which has already been announced, it will offer an "independent and high-performing alternative to the stock browser”.
