Neowin posted a story that new reports have surfaced that strongly suggest Windows 8 will RTM as build 9200, and the compiling process has already begun
Previously we reported that Windows 8 build 8888 might be the final Release to Manufacturing (RTM) version of the operating system. It turns out that is not the case, as new evidence has come to light that reveals build 9200 to be the final, RTM build of Windows 8. Win8China reports that 9200.16384.WIN8_RTM.120725-1247 is the final build, and that's backed up by reports from The Verge's sources.Windows 8 to RTM as build 9200
The Verge also reports the compiling process has begun on Wednesday, which includes outputting different SKUs, language packs and install variations; this means the RTM release is not too far away and should line up with Microsoft's first week of August announcement.
