I am Not a Geek dot com has posted a review on the Yamaha YST-MS201 speakers.
As you can see in the picture, the speaker system consists of two satellites and a subwoofer. There are two volume dials in this system; one on the right satellite, for adjusting the master volume, and another on the back of the subwoofer, for adjusting its own volume. The master volume dial can also be used to turn off the speaker system, by rotating it counter-clockwise to the end, and hearing a little click. This way of turning off the speakers isn´t much popular, but I like it because it provides some protection to the speakers, by guaranteeing that each time they´re turned on, no sound would come out on a high volume suddenly. The reason why I said "some protection" though is because we shouldn´t forget the possibility that someone might leave them on all time, and play some music every now and then with the sound card volume set to max. Now, what I found very annoying in the speakers is the fact that the subwoofer dial is on its back, making it very inconvenient to adjust its volume. It should have been included on its front or on one of the satellites. Furthermore, Yamaha should have included a headphone plug, to make it easier for whoever using the speakers, to plug in his headphones at night, and avoid disturbing others.Read more
