This is where the function key comes in. The function key is located next to the Windows start menu key. This button acts like a shift to turn the Num Lock function on. Simply hold it down and press the "ScrLk/NumLk" key to activate/deactivate the Num Lock. Now I bet your wondering where the Numeric Pad is located. Well if you take a look around the U,I,O keys, you will notice small, blue numbers. Those numbers are the Numeric Pad. When the Num Lock is activated those buttons will only use the blue numbers. The only way to continue using the standard keys around U,I,O is to turn Num Lock off. That gets kind of irritating for me, so I prefer to use the number keys at the top of the keyboard.Read more
